thank you for all of the messages on my post about miscarriage. writing has always been where i run to in moments of overwhelm, and while i have notebooks stacked of this, this post was my first time letting in rip on the interwebs. thanks for being kind <3
🎧 what i’ve been listening to
back on my renee rapp train
Grace Atwood back on bad on paper with Becca Freeman and Olivia Muenter talking about starting her book. it was SO COOL to hear two of my favorite bookish hosts give their friend who is starting the process advice. i was alllll ears (and will be following along closely!)
🔗 quick links i’ve loved
this made me laugh (and i love this brand)
i stumbled across the actual rules about the abbey yung method rather than people just talking about it. i decided to give it a whack with products i already own and i gotta say my usual straw/hay dry hair is dare i say soft?
i always love Christina Tumminello fashion thoughts, but i LOVED this post on boundaries and work. i don’t work in corporate anymore but man do i wish i had this to read when i still was!
🍽 favorite meal of the week
what: mathew mcconaughey’s tuna
where / recipe: at home. i go through phases of making this several times a week! i loosely follow this one. the big add is frozen veg and wasabi paste.
🛒 sales +links i’m eyeing
roz sale!
i have been using this shampoo/conditioner for almost a year and always restock on their refills when they have a sale!
steve madden is amazing?
most popular links from you guys this week (in general you all went a little nuts over the gap brands sale— are these fun?)
what i am eyeing (i use shopmy as a shopping pinterest and organize things here).
🤍 favorite moment of motherhood
i grabbed the first dog man book for my son at the library, and we had the BEST time reading it together with a flashlight at bedtime. 5 can be hard but it is sooooo good, too. we are going to start making our own comic!
👗 what i wore
outfit reel: no uggs this week! and here are the links
standout piece: can’t stop wearing or apparently talking about this tshirt
✍️ best moment of writing this week
i got great feedback from my writing group on my submission this week. they are always encouraging me to be more in scene vs explaining. i took a few paragraphs of interior thought and turned it into a mother/daughter phone call and i love how it turned out.
☕️ coffee shop haunt of the week
where: mountain cofee + thrift
order: nh maple latte
vibe: i love it here!
